CATHOLIC PRAYERS:
Act of Contrition:
My God,
I am sorry for my sins
with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong
and failing to do good,
I have sinned against you,
whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help,
to do penance,
to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.
In His name, my God, have mercy.
Act of Faith
O my God,
I believe that you are one God
in three Divine Persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I believe that your Divine Son
became man and died for our sins,
and that He will come again
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths
that the Catholic Church teaches,
because you have reveled them,
who can neither deceive nor be deceived.
Amen.
Act of Hope
Oh my God,
relying on you almighty power
and infinite mercy and promises,
I hope to obtain pardon of my sins,
the help of your grace
life everlasting
through the merits of Jesus Christ,
my Lord and Redeemer.
Amen.
Act of Love
Oh my God,
I love you above all things
with my whole heart and soul,
because you are all good
and worthy of all love.
I love my neighbor as myself
for the love of you
I forgive all who have injured me
and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.
Amen.
Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell;
the third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.
Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of us Your faithful
and kindle in us the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your spirit and we shall be created
And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
Oh God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit
Instructs the hearts of the faithful,
Grant, that by the same Holy Spirit
we may be truly wise and
ever rejoice in His consolations.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Evening Prayer to God the Father
O eternal God and Ruler of all creation,
You have allowed me to reach this hour.
Forgive the sins I have committed this day by word,
deed or thought.
Purify me, O Lord,
from every spiritual and physical stain.
Grant that I may rise from this sleep to glorify
You by my deeds throughout my entire lifetime,
and that I be victorious over every spiritual and physical enemy.
Deliver me, O Lord,
from all vain thoughts and from evil desires,
for yours is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
now and ever, and forever.
Amen.
